There is something about Africa that stirs the soul, something that makes you want to come back again and again.  Perhaps it is the wildlife, wildlife that makes this continent feel like a proverbial Eden.  Perhaps it is the people, so welcoming and lighthearted.  Perhaps it is the landscape, so vast and open beneath big skies.  Wait...  What stirs the soul, is ALL of that.

Unforgettable

With Africa straddling the equator and stretching a vast distance from north to south, it is not surprising that there are many different climatic zones.  If it is wildlife you are after, the dry season is considered the best time to travel to Africa.  In Kenya and Tanzania this runs from June through October as well as in January and February.  In Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and South Africa, it runs from April through October.

There are however benefits to travelling to Africa outside the dry seasons too - young animals are born, birding is fantastic, landscapes are lush and visitor numbers are low.

The best time to travel to Egypt and Morocco is in fall and spring.  The winter can be nice too, but it does get cold in Morocco's Atlas mountains.
