Hikes in and around toronto

When I am not travelling I like to explore my own backyard on foot.
Here are some of my favourite hikes in and around Toronto for you to enjoy!
Hiking times are for fit adults used to hiking 6 kms per hour on roads.  Times do not include stops for photography or lunch breaks.
The difficulty rating is based on the system we use on our international trips.  You can find more on that here.
Maps are sketches and are only to be used to give you an idea of the location of the trail.  They are no substitute for hiking maps or apps.
Use common sense when hiking: dress for the conditions, bring water and food, hike with somebody or let someone know where you are.
While I have hiked all Canadian routes (and most international ones), you agree to use route descriptions at your own risk.
