Oman-

The tour offers a great way to see the variety of what this country has to offer. From the modern, yet historic, capital of Muscat to rugged coastlines along the Arabian Sea and windswept desert sand dunes straight out of an epic movie.
Our Tour Leader was Mashal, He is Omani and, therefore, had amazing in-depth knowledge of the country, history and culture. A couple times in the trip minor things were altered to better accommodate the schedule or group requests. His organization skills and flexibility were fantastic.
The accommodation on this tour varied from 5 star luxury in the Muscat Radisson to basic Coleman Igloo tents in the desert camp. In between were locally owned smaller hotels with good but simpler amenities.
A couple of kilometres from the tent camp was a desert resort. 4 of the 7 guests paid for themselves on-site to stay at that resort instead of sleeping in the tents. The general consensus was that the resort would have been nicer.
Our transports were two Toyota Land Cruisers with 4 passengers plus driver in each. The vehicles were perfect for the terrain and climate but the person sitting in the middle in the back had limited legroom and three in the back were snug.
