This 15-day cycling tour through China allows you to experience the country in a way few travellers do, moving at a relaxed pace on two wheels. As you cycle through villages and interact with local farmers, you become part of the landscape, sharing the roads with water buffalo, cyclists, and the occasional lumbering vehicle. The trip takes you through peaceful country roads, with a support vehicle always available for those moments when you need a break. The landscape is stunning, dotted with karst hills, rice paddies, and charming villages.
In addition to cycling, you’ll have the opportunity to explore some of China’s most iconic sites. In Xian, you’ll visit the Terracotta Warriors and the tomb of China’s first emperor, while in Beijing, you’ll explore the Forbidden City and take in the remarkable view of the Great Wall at the less-visited Mutianyu section. The journey also includes time in Yangshuo, where the beauty of limestone formations and tranquil rivers provides the perfect backdrop for cycling.
With its blend of cycling, history, and local culture, this trip offers a comprehensive view of China, from ancient sites to rural landscapes, and combines adventure with immersion in the country’s rich heritage.
