This four-week journey offers an immersive experience through Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia, blending cultural encounters, natural wonders, and historical insights. Beginning in Bangkok we journey to the north of Thailand and cross into Laos. A boat trip down the Mekong River reveals the Pak Ou Caves, filled with countless Buddha statues, before reaching Luang Prabang, a UNESCO-listed city nestled between two rivers. Visitors witness monks collecting alms at dawn, admire the city's fusion of French and Lao influences, and venture to the turquoise pools of Kuang Si Waterfalls.
Next is Vang Vieng, where limestone karsts and the tranquil Nam Song River set the scene for optional adventures like cave exploration and kayaking. From here we journey to Vientiane, the laid-back capital of Laos, travellers explore its colonial architecture, Buddhist temples, and vibrant night markets.
Then the adventure shifts to Vietnam.
In Hanoi, travellers stroll through the atmospheric Old Quarter and visit landmarks such as the One-Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house. A scenic drive leads to Halong Bay, where a cruise unveils dramatic limestone islands. The journey continues south by overnight train to Hué, home to the Imperial Citadel and the serene Perfume River.
From Hué, a scenic drive via the Hai Van Pass takes travellers to Hoi An, where historic streets, ancient temples, and tailor shops await. Free time allows for exploration or a visit to the nearby My Lai Memorial. A visit to My Son's Cham ruins offers insight into Vietnam’s ancient history before a flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
In the Mekong Delta, a sampan cruise through lush waterways provides a glimpse into local village life before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. Here, travellers explore historic sites, including the War Remnants Museum and the Cu Chi Tunnels. The journey then continues into Cambodia, crossing the border to Phnom Penh. Visits to the Royal Palace, National Museum, and the sobering sites of Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields provide a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s past.
A drive to Siem Reap leads to a cruise on Tonle Sap Lake before three days exploring the breathtaking Angkor temple complex. From the intricate carvings of Banteay Srei to the iconic Angkor Wat at sunset, this portion of the trip highlights Cambodia’s architectural marvels. The adventure concludes in Siem Reap, where travellers can enjoy a final exploration before departure.

Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia

In terms of [this] guided tour through Laos, Viet Nam and Cambodia I cannot say enough. Things ran seamlessly and without any significant glitches. The guides and your leaders were exceptional. I can't say enough. You can recommend them confidently in my opinion. The only suggestion I might have would relate to Cambodia. There were only 2 stops on that portion of the trip and one was a 4 night stay in Siem Reap to view temples etc. Though impressive I feel an additional or alternate day could better be used seeing other area of the country, the coast or elephant reserve perhaps. Cambodia is a marvellous country and I would have loved to see more.
