The Churchill polar bear tour begins in Winnipeg, where guests gather for a welcome dinner at the historic Fort Garry Hotel. After meeting the Expedition Leader and preparing for the journey, the next day, we fly by chartered plane to Churchill, a remote town with a rich history as a Hudson’s Bay Company fur trading post. Here, our adventure truly begins with our first polar bear sighting. From the Polar Rovers, we venture onto the tundra, where the sight of these majestic creatures moving across the landscape is awe-inspiring. With a maximum of 16 passengers per Rover, everyone enjoys an up-close experience, watching polar bears in their natural habitat, whether it’s a mother with cubs or a lone bear ambling across the frozen tundra.
On day five, we embrace the northern wilderness with an authentic dog sledding experience, learning from a local musher and enjoying a thrilling ride through the boreal forest. After a farewell lunch, we board the return flight to Winnipeg. On the final day, a leisurely breakfast is followed by a transfer to the airport for departures, concluding this unforgettable adventure amid the vast, frozen landscapes of Churchill.
