After a walk through INverness the rest of the day if your own, perhaps to explore Aviemore in the Cairngorms. Crossing the Firth of Forth by train we reach beautiful Edinburgh with its imposing castle. Your local guide will show you the highlights like the Scottish Parliament buildings, the Royal Mile and Canongate Cemetery, after which there is free time to explore the Old Town, the fairy-tale Dean Village neighbourhood, or portside Leith.
