Adventure Coordinators insider tip:

To get the best of the two climates in South Africa I like to travel in September and October.  Wildlife congregates around dwindling waterholes in the north, wildflowers are often blooming in the deserts, whales can be spotted near Hermanus and the weather in the Cape is warm and pleasant.
