This immersive Italian adventure begins in Venice, where you’ll wander along winding canals and across storied bridges before sipping spritzes and savouring traditional cicchetti in lively bacari. After a breakfast of local pastries and a peek into the city’s bustling markets, you’ll glide down the Grand Canal and take in the timeless charm of La Serenissima. Then it’s off to Bologna – Italy’s culinary heart – for a hands-on pasta-making class and your first taste of rich, regional flavours.
A day trip to Modena reveals the secrets of Parmigiano Reggiano and authentic aged balsamic vinegar, complete with a trattoria lunch paired with a glass of Lambrusco. Then, retreat to the Tuscan hills near San Gimignano, where you’ll stay on a working organic farmhouse surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. Here, you’ll sample local wines, stroll medieval streets, and walk a section of the Via Francigena pilgrimage route.
Finally, the journey ends in Rome. After a guided orientation through the Eternal City’s historic heart, you’ll be welcomed into a local’s home for a plant-based feast and a final taste of Roman hospitality. A perfect finale to a week of unforgettable flavours and landscapes.

Adventure Coordinators Insider Tip:

One of my favourite memories in Venice was a concert by Interpreti Veneziani.  It's a concert so unforgettable that, in the words of Lonely Planet, "you’ll never listen to The Four Seasons again without hearing summer storms erupting over the lagoon, or snow-muffled footsteps hurrying over footbridges in winter’s-night intrigues".
