A dream fulfilled: piloting a plane over Africa's animal herds

Ever since travelling with us to Africa Keith MacIsaac dreamed of piloting a plane over the African continent. Taking along his wife, he realized his dream in October 2019.

They visited several game reserves and other noteworthy attractions along South Africa's west coast before flying over Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe to Pretoria.

"Flying up over mountains and down into canyons was just as stirring as flying over the beautiful falls, rivers and animal herds", says Keith.

The photo shows him refueling at Sossusvlei in the Namib desert in 48-degree Celsius heat.
